Telenor announces unlimited data roaming to Thailand

Back in April 2018, Telenor Myanmar changed the life of frequent flyers by offering a super attractive rate for data roaming on 8 destinations in Asia: Thailand, Malaysia, China, Singapore, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia and Taiwan

The rate dropped down from 500Ks per MB to 8Ks per MB which was -at the time- the domestic data rate.

Since then, Telenor Myanmar added Cambodia to the list of countries and increases the rate to 15Ks per MB. Travelers can also subscribe to a weekly pack for 900Ks which drop down the rate to 9Ks per MB.

Telenor also offers aggressive data roaming rate to Japan (25Ks per MB) and 14 countries in Europe (50Ks per MB)

With 19 flights from Yangon per day, Bangkok is one of the most popular destination for a quick weekend getaway.

Today, Telenor Myanmar announces a new promotion that concern frequent flyers to Thailand.

Telenor prepaid and postpaid customers can now subscribe to a 3 days unlimited package for 999Ks. This package has a daily fair usage policy of 1GB. After 1GB, the speed is reduced to 256kbps.

This new rate is extremely aggressive. Telenor leverages on the network of his sister company DTAC to offer a seamless customer experience to its subscribers across the two countries.

Telenor prepaid users can also subscribe the promotion by dialing 979256# while Star Postpaid users can subscribe the promotion by dialing 9991112#.
